1st September 2010 - Band Baby!

Congratulations to Sharon Nicholson and Ian on the birth of their daughter Rosie Evelyn, a little sister for Seth.

26th August 2010 - Hello Eric; thank you Roy

The band welcomes back Eric to full-time conducting. He has been busy over the last few months arranging pieces for the band and brought a large pile of music for us to play.

The band also send our thanks to Roy Roe for looking after us for the last year.

26th August 2010 - Retirement

The band wishes to say goodbye to Winifred Steele, who is retiring from the band after many years service as a player. We also wish to thank her for being the band's librarian.

10th July 2010 - Ossett Gala

For the second year the band played at the opening of the Ossett Gala. We were next to the steps at the Town Hall and played for about an hour.

3rd July 2010 - Camphill Summer Fair

Our regular concert at the Camphill Pennine Community went well in the glorious sunshine. It certainly gets warm on the terrace! The sandwiches and drinks were much appreciated in the interval.

27th June 2010 - Horbury Show

The band played at a hot and sunny Horbury Show for the second year running. We played two slots in the afternoon near the main arena and were well-received by the crowds.

14th May 2010 - Eric's return

Eric returned last night for one of two special appearances before he has to go back into hospital. Whilst off he has been busy arranging us some more music - we rehearsed the first two movements of Schubert's Symphony No 5. It was great to see Eric after so long, and he thoroughly enjoyed the rehearsal too! We look forward to the remaining two movements of Schubert's Fifth.
